England might have been knocked out the World Cup by Germany, but pupils across North and South Tyneside are still on track to reach their goal – an arrival in South Africa in time for the World Cup final on July 11th.

England might not be doing very well at the World Cup at the moment, but our North and South Tyneside schools are pressing ahead on their journey to reach Johannesburg in time for the World Cup Final on July 11th.

More than 9,300 youngsters in 32 primary schools across North and South Tyneside began their walking journey to South Africa last week, and some of the early results are in!
Taking an early lead is Sea View Primary School in South Shields. Collectively, the school racked up a startling 2,063kms, meaning they’ve already walked passed London
