Today saw the launch of Real Radio’s be air aware campaign. Presenter Kelly Scott has signed herself up for the Real Radio Be Air Aware Challenge which means for 7 days and 7 nights she will be living outside.

No shower, no straighteners, no satellite TV… they’re even taking her car away! It’ll be just Kelly and the great North East outdoors.

During the week she’ll go the length and breadth of the region… but without her car. So she will be using the bus, the metro, a bike (which she’s just learning to use!) and some good old fashioned walking, to prove just how easy it is to get around the North East without four wheels and help do your bit to reduce harmful emissions that are affecting all of our health.

Today she visited Sunderland, starting out at Penshaw Monument and checking in at the Stadium of Light!
